Every Scorpion pairs a 3K raw carbon fibre face with a 14mm thermoformed core and injected walls. Thermoforming — moulding the paddle as a single unified structure — adds stability, shock resistance, and power that cold-pressed paddles can't match. The 14mm core is faster and punchier than a 16mm, trading a touch of plushness for drive speed and pop at the net.
The face carries an extra grit surface texture that bites the ball hard. Slice serves, roll volleys, and topspin drives all get noticeably more shape on them than with a smooth-faced paddle.
